    Glow Gauges

Hey does anyone know where I can get the skin that lays over the instrument panel and has indiglo? Like the white faces gauges. I found one guy who will make them for me from scratch, creating the skin, all of it, but he wants between $180 - $250, that just seems a bit crazy to me. (and $50 upfront to create the file needed to print the overlay) I bought a set for an old escort i had for like $15. I cant see why it would cost $250!!

Never seen a set available for these trucks. Usually yeah, you would see them all over ebay for about $15. But you gotta keep in mind those are mass produced over seas, which is why they sell so cheap. The reason why the guy probably wants so much is essentially he's starting from scratch. There are no premade templates out there for him to use. It's gotta be worth his while to do it, since alot of time and labor goes into making them. Think of it as a start-up cost.

You could probably get him to lower the price by asking about group discounts. The more people committed to buying them, the higher the discount will be.

Not sure if this is the guy you already contacted, if not, you may want to try contacting them as well:

I've seen their gauges on a members ride of another forum, and they look great! They're not the indiglo syle gauges though, just overlays..

I checked out that link Blindeyed... I contacted them... thats wasnt who i was going through, but lets see what they say for $$....
No, i dont have a Tach... but yeah he said that he would give me the template and I can "give" the template out to any of my friends to use to have theirs made, (but i can not sell it to them)He also did say there would be a small discount if i buy multiples. If anyone would be interested hit me up, maybe we can start a seperate donation fund on here, and everyone can chip in, and maybe this site can order them. (this way we have a trustworthy account holder for the money) Not sure if there would be a way to track who chips in or not. But i have faith that someone here is smart enough to figure out how to make it work.

If this is something that the site is interested in, let me know. I will gladly hand over all the contact info.

I contacted them at blackcatcustoms and they wanted 300.00 to create a custom gauge face because they do not have the template or measurements to do it so I would have to send in my gauge cluster for them to be able to do it .. so expensive plus he said that they might damage it but in case send them one from the junk yard.. seems like alot just to get a custom face.

hey, I was reading how to make your own gauge faces and he says to copy your original gauge cluster and then print it out, i still have just the gauge face from when I went from the original to the sport cluster, but the issue is, the gauge face is metal on the base tucks, and on the sport it is backlight plastic, so you couldn't do indigo on the base one.

you would have to take pic of your original one put it in software program adjust it, print it, and glue several layers of it together and put it on backlit sport pod. That way you could change the colors if you want or the font of the gauges
