You can put anything in the truck, just depends if you have the skills/knowledge or the money to do it.

I was thinking about doing a swap after some research I think the route u went makes the most sense for me! When it comes to the wiring do I have to get it from a doner car or can I order a harness kit from some where?

you can put anything in with mods but the real question is why a Rotary?? Granted it would be different but you're still better off with a piston engine in the long run.

The only reason considering the rotary was because I have one in my possession from an uncle who gave it to me!but I'm leaning more towards the 4g63!

The Rotary has no red line. The only problem it they are junk after so many miles. The apex ring is the only week spot on them. When they fall out there done. Remove the rev limiter and have fun. They were banned in Formula 1 because they could come out of the corner at 12,000 RPM while the other cars needed to run back up. Once they banned them Mazda left the Formula series. That stopped the development of them.

This swap has been done before, but why bother? Even with having one in your posession you will keep blowing it up from winding it up to oblivion. However, the tranny is a popular swap for the 5 spds in our trucks with the right bell housing. You will also find that your economy will be terrible even if you drive it sensibly, as the low end torque is non existant. Stay with the piston motor. There was a spoof video on utube about Hitler cursing about a rotary sway - its hilarious.

I like my truck. If I ever do another turbo truck id to a 13b biturbo Mazda b2200. But I don't got the space for another car/truck, and my money pit dsm keeps me busy.

Easier and cheaper to go with a 5.3 gm ls motor - truckin mag tried to blow one up like car craft attempted to do that had 160k on it with a blower - 1306 hp and when it quit, it crushed 1 lifter and bent a pushrod. They put new ones in and got 800 hp without the blower.
