removing instrument cluster on 85 ram 50

I have a short in the dash lights system having a hard time even getting to the wiring to do a visual inspection. Needing some help, Ive got the cluster free but it will not come out wondering if the speedo cable needs to be removed if so how? Any help appreciated

thanks for reply, I disconnected speedo cable at drive shaft since I can't fit my hand behind there to get any leverage on the cable at the cluster the chilton manual says "blah blah blah remove speedometer cable from rear of panel...." and I've got no idea if its just a socket, or if its threaded on there etc. anyhow disconnecting it at the bottom didn't seem to give me any slack on top so if anyone has a detailed step by step I would so appreciate your help.

It's one of 2 things. A screw cap, that is removed by hand. Or it has 2 plastic tabs that you squeeze and it just pulls out.
