1987 d50 2.0l smoking under throttle. more throttle more smoke??

i have a smoking problem. Its mostly oil. really bad when it starts after sitting. It smoke a little at idle and more as the throttle is pressed. More peddle more smoke.

Is it rings? valve stem seals?jet valve seals?

i have another bottom end and can replace the valve seals no problem.

I would like to narrow my problem down with some of the expertise from this forum.

    thanks in advance

My is guess valves... Oil leeks in while sitting over night or after shut off. If it's rings then it will do it all the time. How many miles are on it?

Check your pcv valve too. Its on the valve cover at the front.... you can get a new one or clean it out with some carb cleaner

Mine is doing it also. Hopefully getting some suggestions for Viton valve seals to install. Started smoking (noticeably) after changing to AMsoil. Its freer flowing (acts thinner and sticks to valves more) so exacerbates bad valve seals. I've read other forums where there are some known issues with these older Japanese seals especially Mitsubishi's. My Radiator and cooling system is rusted up BAD, so I'm thinking it overheated badly before, I think it has a replacement head, maybe engine, so we,ll see. I'll post up results. Please do also, if you do a repair.
