Got myself an '88 for $300! I dig it!

Hey folks, I just picked up an '88 Ram 50 from my old roommate for a whopping 300 bucks! It's a bit of a high-miler at 191k, but I want to put a little bit of money into 'er and keep her pretty sweet. I'll have to put a pic up here soon, but it was a hell of a deal...couple issues, front end is pretty creaky and needing an alignment, and the camber is off a few degrees. some idiot replaced the original wheel with a 9incher, so it's pretty tough at low speeds. and some valve issues, which I haven't looked into much yet.

So, any suggestions out there? I feel like I got a pretty good deal on this rig, and want to take care of it.
    Thanks!

Very nice looking truck. Welcome to the board. A few things I would change on it, but that's me. Happy trucking.

For $300 Id say you got a clean lookin truck. Im sure it has issues but you are already ahead of the game at that price. There was one around here not too long ago.....needed engine to be put back in and a windshield for over a grand.

I paid 150 for mines. That's cause the last owner didn't know what was wrong with it. Lol.

    Another Oregonian!

If the core is virgin, just have the short rebuilt. Shouldn't cost too much. Rick's Cylinder head over here on the wet side has one more new in box 8 valve head. $325 without port/polish, with valve towers (no cam/rockers).

For $300, you got a great little project truck.
