Oh man I knew I should have given the throttle a second look during the install.

So the effects of this is, the throttle is already open and when I turned in the idle speed screw 1 1/2 turn after touching the throttle stop (as per the instructions in tuning), it actually opened it even more. I guess this also explains why I'm experiencing a rich condition on my mixture.

    Thanks guys.

Hi guys, just a few updates and a couple of questions.

I installed an electric fuel pump. Its a mitsubishi and i have no idea what psi it pushes. Also changes the main jets to 130 and 125.

So now I've noticed that on runs that traffic is light, power is still the same and fuel consumption is better. However, I can't do a good MPG calculation cuz when I get into traffic (its really bad here) the truck seems to just consume more fuel. I mean a lot.

    Is this normal?

    Thanks.

You need to find out the pressure. It can over pressure the needle and seat causing more fuel to be used then you want.

What I'd like to know is how you hooked up your T.V. cable to the carb linkage so you get a passing gear.
Mine shifts up to 3rd within about 20' and getting about 12-14mpg. Maybe it's the 274 regrind from Schnieder..?
