Their mirrors will bolt right onto our mirror mounts, they look much better, that's what I'm running.

the 87-88 mazda B2600 4x4 has a g54b motor in it, and the tranny uses a removable bellhousing that allows a mazda rx7 tranny to be used with the g54b motor; it also uses the same clutch disc on the rx7 tranny.

I'm rocking the Mazda mirrors. Also Nissan front turn signals, Toyota rear bumper from a 87 I believe.

I'm trying to put some B2000 mirrors on mine, but the bolt on the bottom of the B2000 mirror mount seems to just be rotating. Do I need to get in behind the mirror itself and stop a nut from spinning?

For those that want to know, yes, you have to take off the black plastic trim around the mirror (I used an iFixit plastic opening tool, try to avoid using screwdrivers as they cut into the plastic). In behind is a nut you need to grab with a spanner to stop it from turning

The B2600 uses a 4G54 block - but the head is different. The intake and exhaust are on opposite sides and also came as a 12 valve.

I didn't know there was that many similarities (aside from the mirrors). I had a 1979 Mazda B2200 Sundowner Sport that I bought off a guy for $300 in high school. That truck got close to 40 mpg, even while driving it like a bat out of hell. That was the only car I ever got all four wheels more than 2 feet off the ground.

I have a set of tail lights from a bed swap off a Ranger the tail lights and bed shape are different but the Ranger bed bolted onto the B2500 no problem. Going from a 3 bulb to a 2 bulb system took some work!

B2500 tail lights are in great shape!

89 up 2600 Mazda motors are different from the 87 - 88 motors. The earlier motors are Mitsu motors, the 89 up is based on the 2.6 but has the different head as you mentioned.

there used to be a website called B2600 that had a ton of info on the Mazda 2600 motors and the interchangeability between the Mazda and Mitsu motors, and had a breakdown about the different aftermarket heads. Unfortunately, it disappeared with all the info on it.
