If you put a weber carb on you will cut out about 50% of the wiring, It will allow you to delete the ecu.

Why does it need a rewire?? If it needs to be done you're probably looking at 10-20hrs depending on what needs to be repaired or replaced and how far the truck needs to be striped to get axcess to the broken wires.

If it needs to be rewired you will want to do it your self. A shop will charge by the hour.. There is no real estimate on any electrical job.

You can always get one of these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PRF-30001/ they come in 12 or 18 fuse blocks. the real nice thing about them is everything is marked so all you have to do is run your own wires.

If you find the same truck in a junk yard, pull the wiring harness out of it and put it in yours. Easy to do and will only take a couple of hours.
