Front core support

My 86 d50 had been put in a ditch by its previous owner. The front core
support is bent in a good amount to where my bumper won't fix properly. Some right front finder damage as a result as well. I want to make this truck cheery straight, so I know it needs a body shops help. My question is, do I need to look for another truck with a straight core support? How do you take one off? Just cut spot welds or what? How would you go about it? Thank you for any info.

In the manual section look for the first gen factory manual. There is a body break down in there.

It just has spot welds. You can use a spot weld cutter to cut them loose.

It might be easier to just find a parts truck and swap cabs and Vin plates.

Front core? Radiator support? You can always use a nut and bolt in place of new spotwelds on installation if you do not have access to a welder. But if you do you can spot weld the nut and bolt to the body. Or, if you like the removability of the rad support like the volkswagon guys. Lol.

The front core support and inner fenders are part of the crumple zone on these trucks, so they need to be welded for max strength. Try M&S recycling in calif - they should have what you need.
