Should I worry, because I am

Two days ago i put some gas in my baby when me and my girl were riding around then when i went to start her up, she dumped a shitton of white smoke, ran just a little bit rough for about 20 seconds then it ran just fine. She did that to me about the next three times i started her, but I drove her around all day today and yesterday and she didn't do it once she was just fine? From my experience problems dont typically fix themselves, so im lost

Notice any drop in your oil or anti-freeze levels?

you could have a dodgy head gasket, white smoke= coolant, actually steam. the smell is also a dead giveaway. I know, I just blew mine over the weekend, spike the boost at 32lbs, Max was spewing "white smoke"

Classic blown head gasket. #4 to water jacket. If you let it sit over night it will do it again. Sorry to here this happened.

Blown gasket isn't that bad, at least you don't have to pull the motor. Unless you decide to upgrade everything.

but it is very odd, it hasn't done it at all even today, until just went to drop someone off and put more gas in her, then she did it again but only once, then i started her back up again and she was fine

Keep a very close eye on the water bottle. If it uses more then 1/2 over night it's got a problem. Once it cools down mine would blow .5 of a bottle into the cylinder and run like crap for a couple of seconds then be fine. Be worried and look every AM when cold. Hell I'm concerned and I'm not even in the same state.

It could also be crappy gas full of water doing that - was the gas from the same station both times? Put in some isopropyl drygas and see if it still happens after a day or so. If the drygas clears it up, get your fuel somewhere else. Also change the fuel filter as the gas probably is full of dirt too.

well if she didn't have a bad head gasket before she sure does now . Yesterday I was driving on the interstate and I was stuck in traffic, then all of a sudden she started pinging then my needle shot straight to hot. I pulled her over and apparently my radiator hose came undone from the block so all my coolant dumped out and since there was no coolant the gauge didn't get warm untill the heat from the motor caused it to shoot up. She is cooked. I'm getting her towed home this weekend and i'm going to take the head off and see the extent of my damage. I am already assuming the head is a gonner so this brings me to ask, are there any other heads that would make more power that would bolt up to her

what all would need to be done? I have something else to drive until she is back up again so time isn't really too pressing of an issue

need ecu and engine wiring out of eclipse, rework intake mani for throttle body relocation(unless 2.4 has same intake mani pattern, not sure), move engine forward 2" or cut/bang in firewall for cas/water housing clearance, plus more. There is much more info on projectzerog.com

hotrodcoffeeshop.com has quite a few different members with several examples. You gotta dig around and iron out the details for yourself.
