Runs great but dies when coming to a stop.

It doesn't always die but sometimes when not in gear it will die like pushing the clutch in to make a turn or coming to a stop sign. It bogs down a tiny bit when pressing the brake pedal but not too bad. Also, it tries to stay running when I turn the key off and keeps turning over a few times. What could be the problem? Its a 1989 mighty max 2.6L

Does a vacuum leak cause the engine to keep trying to turn over after you turn the key off? Also, how much work is it to replace the brake booster?

usually,if the brake booster goes out,the brake pedal will be hard to press. This could also mean the hose is old and is "sucked" close somewhere, usually in a bend
