You can you a dsm turbo fwd flywheel and clutch in the 1st gen trucks? Hold better but flexs the firewall right ? Are there any other combos you can use that hold more than the factory clutch ? And tis the firewall flew bad enough you wouldn't want to driv it in traffic ...

You can get a centerforce dual friction clutch with a centerforce II pressure plate and not have any problems - or convert over to starquest hydro clutch setup and run the dsm setup. The firewall can be plated to strengthen it.

takes a little work but it holds, and yeah, you have to plate up the firewall if you stick to the Cable Clutch.
