    20 mph vibrations

    Hello all,

84 D-50. My front end seems to be vibrating on the right side? Always and only happens right around 20 mph. Do you guys have any ideas about what this could be? Thanks

Could be a number of things...... Tire out of balance, Wheel baring going bad, worn ball joint or tie rod end. Check those out first and check both sides. Another problem could be a leaking rear axle seal and the oil is getting on the pad and the drum is sticking a bit.It will feel like a front end problem. Also if your steering wheel is shaking back and forth at slow speeds a rotor might be warped, another sign of this problem is the brake peddle pulsing when you brake.

Also check the idler arm bushings - they go bad and can cause that on the right side. Other culprits are the strut rod and lower control arm bushings, though usually they are at a higher speed.
