timing problems
Well I cleaned up my mess from the mishap of leaving a ratchet on tge crankshaft bolt and had it running last night but it didn't seem like it was exactly right so i re read the book on setting the timing and originally I put a paper clip in the little plug on the wheel well when i set the timing. After reading again it said it should be grounded ....so i did that and checked timing again and it won't even run at all now. Everything seems dead on but my fear is maybe that wasn't the correct plug to ground...

Check the fuses. I remember seeing a post from LSR-Mike that he had a picture of the plug to ground out.

I checked all fuses under the dash and the one fuseable link i found. I double and triple checked base timing and it will not fire off. I checked voltage at the coil with the key turned on and have voltage there im getting fuel can the base timing not be set w/o that ignition jumped out and grounded? It was running prior to this but i didn't jump that out so I wanted to get it closer with a light and that circut jumped. Sorry guys I'm just lost at this point
