    My truck Kamikaze

Its going to be a while before things really get started on my truck but i decided i would go ahead and start my build thread

First off i named my 1991 MM Kamikaze due to the fact that Mitsubishi made the planes that suicide bombed pearl harbor so i took my trucks name from that i thought it was kinda funny and in my opinion it suits my truck

I picked my truck up from a guy down the road for 700 bucks who thought the ECU was shot, i figured out it was actually a fuel pump so i put a new fuel pump, strainer, and fuel filter in her and she ran great

Then i decided to change the oil, spark plugs, gear oil, etc. and shes dependable

Looks better with the new rims. I kind of like the black stripe. Never see it before.

ironically camoit me and my brother were contemplating our feelings on said stripe today as well the wheels are a huge improvement in my opinion but since i gutted the cat she is quite the noisy beast i may end up buying a glasspack or flowmaster, but knowing myself i am just going to ride it until i get my first noise violation ticket

End result is hopefully going to be a drift truck. As of short term plans fix it, put my buckets in, and drop it about two inches.
Eventually I want to do a motor swap (I would like to do a RB26DETT but I am not sure what kinda heart she is going to have yet) 4 link the rear, find a posi for it, the list goes on and on lol

ahh yes.. the GTR twin turbo motor. i've heard of them in 240's and 350z. idk, IMO these trucks are wayy too light for that motor, especially the rear end. might have to drop some weight in the bed to keep from too much wheel spin. lol

as for the motor, well its cast iron block=win!
Nismo's N1 version of the rb26 is dope and it has steel turbines so it handles more HP than reg. rb26dett. or u can go all out like a boss w/ a Z2 version ftw!

mo money, mo money, mo money!

I like your logic good sir! Most likely it's due to the fact that i believe my suspension is shot but when I get close to a hundred believe it or not it the front end that gets light

The rb26 is a big engine. I'd rather look into the 6g 3000gt tt. One guy got a build thread going I see but no progress for a while.

Whats that white and blue thing hanging on your front bumper?? Is that some sort of new ground effects kit or something?

We haven't had those since 1984 in this province.

Maybe I should go to mosquito control and tell them I want them to pay me for helping take out the mosquito population

You would be better off with the VR4 V6 but if you must go nissan the SR20DET would be better for these trucks and I know these trucks weigh 2750 stock with no accessories and the SR is lighter than the 4G engines. Getting under 2500 lbs isn't hard. Also the 240sx weighs just a little less than these trucks and the SR can drift them all day long with no problems.

My friend came over on saturday and had some plastidip and he did his hood and had some left over so just for shits and giggles I did this

    061503_1500[01].jpg
    061703_1225[00].jpg

I didn't really need to tape or paper because you can just take plastidip off easily but I did anyways. I like it enough I think I may paint it that way when I get another hood and get it cowled like I want

You did your tails lights? careful I think that could get a fixit ticket or worse a drunk driver that doesn't see your tail lights.

Yeah they aren't bad at all I checked them as soon as it got dark outside. And if you get a fixit ticket for them you can just go to them and peel off the plastidip in front of the cop =)
