    Question Head swap

Hi all its been a while . I was active at mightyram50.com.
    I have a 89 ram50 with a 2.6l g54b Head with carb and jet valves.
I need to replace the head gasket and bolts. I want to get away from jet valves .
I've found a 2.4l fi mighty max head. Will this head work on my 2.6l?
I talked to the seller he said I could use carb or injectors with the head by changing the manifold. What would be involved in converting my ram50 to fi?
    Thanks for your time.

I know you can put a G52 on a G54B. You have the late model head correct? small cam bore VS the early with the large cam bore, if so I would get one from that head place in Florida, and on ebay I can't remember the name of them. But then you don't need to mes with manifolds or other problems that come up.

No it will not work, the g63b(2.0) and 4g64(2.4L) will swap since they are the same series of engines, and the g54b(2.6L) and g52b(old 2.0) will swap I believe.

2.6 has a timing chain while the 2.4 has a belt

if your looking at a new head then check with Clearwater Cylinder Heads. they come fully assembled and you can get them without jet valves and they are $400. that is where i got the head for my motor.
