Long Bed Length

I could have swore I posted this before but I could not find it anywhere. What is the length of a second gen D-50 or Mighty Max bed from the front of the bed straight to the tailgate. I am buying a 4x4 Automatic Long Bed 1987 Ram 50 (I think it's a one ton also) and I have a slide in camper and I am not sure if it will sit on the tailgate or if it will fit all the way in the truck so I could take the tail gate off. The camper is 88 inches from the front all the way to the very end. The biggest problem is that when it is on my 84 Short Box 1/2ton yoda, it puts the weight of the camper behind the rear axle and makes the truck squat horribly, and about a foot of it sits on the tailgate, which would slowly start to destroy the tailgate.
