I hope they reinforce the windshield frames.....seems like it would flex too much
There is def. a chop top mightymax on this site somewhere. I believe it was a 2in chop. For the rear window I'm pretty sure they sank it down into the rear wall a bit and for the windshield they laid it back further. Dont remember the guy ever getting the door glass done.
In the 4 pic thread the first 2 trucks are actually the same truck 15 years apart - see the ragtime mini thread about the convertible tops I have for 1st gen - they predate radical tops 3 to 5 years and were the first mini truck convertibles.
i like the fourth pic thats what mine looks like im trying to go for a removable cuz this is my everyday truck so its gotta be functional and look good or just chop it and make it look different what do you guys think??
http://www.mightyram50.net/vbulletin...9&d=1397135421I unclip the latches, jump in the bed, reach in thru the slider, & it fits under the tonneau
do you have the plexi wind deflectors for the door frames? they were interesting - there was one in the burgh I knew of - the shop that redid it is where the 3 sets of replacement vinyl tops I have came from.
I just got this

I talked to that guy about the truck, just didn't have the money for it. Where in the burgh are you?
East End/Polish Hill. I'm looking for window deflectors for the chop top now, there's some rain getting in through the sides of the windows where it was chopped and the weather stripping is dripping....not through the top though. It's in great shape as far as I'm concerned, it's really nice! Have to do a few things here and there and am slowly learning.
Try Frank's Auto Supermarket - they carry ventvisors and will order them without shipping charges or extra costs from their stocking numbers. Door gaskets should be still available from a mitsubishi dealer.
Attachment 12441This is what I want.
there was a shop out west that sold those fabric sunroof kits, but can't remember the name - I will post it if I remember what it was...
Here's the link for the fabric sliding sunroof: http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/sunconkit.html
I found an even better link - a company that is remaking the hottops convertible kits - they have both 1st and 2nd gen kits, and they are 399.00. If you have one needing parts, or want to go old skool, here you go: http://www.slidingragtops.com/60.html?sm=96236
Almost bought this one. Someone else swooped it and totaled it a week later.

The slidingragtops link definitely has better prices! Thanks for posting the links. Now I know where to go when my wishlist is granted. :)
noahwins, nice 2nd gen. You pick it for parts after it was bashed up?
No, too risky and expensive to salvage with the custom body and frame. It had a 2" traditional body drop along with a 3" chop so I don't think it was very practical as a daily driver.
Hey Noah.. Is that a 3gen bumper cover or Yota maybe..?
I forgot. I like the look of it UNDER the stock grill.
Thought about these since they came out back in the 80's..
I'd love to make the back window a power one that glides down into the cab.
I'd LOVE to ask them if they have BIG ones for my 81 Cherokee!
BUT, would rather have the whole roof roll/slide off of that one like this (but its' a wagoneer)
