Aluminum Radiators
I have been looking for an aluminum radiator for my '88 for some time now and I'm not having much success. I find rads for 2.0 liter trucks in all aluminum and aluminum core plastic tank. The only rads I can find for the ext. cab 2 wd trucks with the 2.6 liter are Spectra Premium and the like made from brass and copper. Does anyone know of a source for an all aluminum direct fit rad?

There has been chat about using alloy radiators and what fits etc. First up - there's no direct fit off the shelf all alloy radiator specifically built for MM/D50's but I have seen some very close to perfect installs in other rwd model Mitsubishis using the 4G54 engine. The closest you'll get will be aftermarket units for Nissan S13 - S15's. Look on ebay - they can be sourced pretty cheap. S13 radiators are 670mmx435x65mm - S14/15 is 668x446x64mm. Scrounge up the mounts from a wreck from any car that uses the grommet and bracket dampers (literally all late model cars use them) and mess with it until it's anchored in. I'll include a link to a thread on the Australian Mitsubishi website "sigma galant.com where you can get an idea of what it'll look like and how it's mounted in - http://www.sigma-galant.com/viewtopi...=11333#p103303

hey! what's up brothers. just putting this out there so you guys don't waste money like me. i just received my alum rad and the filler neck is 2 1/8", which is bigger than the size of the OG mits filler. there wasn't really anything on the ebay page to let me know ahead of time but i guess 2 1/8" is the standard anyway. well, now i got an $8 stant cap that fits the OG mits rad.
i got this rad fyi:

That rad will not fit my '88 ext cab with a 2.6. But thanks. I think the ext. cabs had a wider rad support than standard cabs. My core size is 15-11/16" x 23-15/16"

FYI I used my all aluminum radiator(aftermarket) from my single cab 2.0l on my 2.6l extended cab truck and it bolted up just fine. On my 89 ext cab I think there were two sets of holes, I will double check when I get home

This one would probably fit but the overflow tube is facing the wrong way. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-New-Si...BTwByF&vxp=mtr
