92 2.4L head bolts
Hey guys, I have my 92 2.4L torn down for a rebuild and I'm just getting everything in order for assembly while the block is at the machine shop. I'm having trouble finding new head bolts. If anyone has a link or a part# for a set of 10 bolts I'd love to know! (checked with dodge and mitsu and both numbers are discontinued). Just building to stock so no need for anything special.
Thanks!

Check with lsr mike - his record holding 2.4 runs stock bolts.

I just put in a new set this weekend, ordered them from the Dealer. assuming you have a 6 bolt motor the P/N is MD040514. The washers that go under them are P/N 020733
gonna cost ya $75 for new bolts and washers.
Why do you need new ones? 92 6 bolts are re-useable...

Hey guys I ended up finding a set of head bolts, I wanted to replace because one head on the old set stripped out. The motor is rebuilt and I dropped it in today. It's all hooked up and ready to run, however it cranks, sparks and gets gas but it just won't run. The only sensor I replaced was the o2. Compression is good and steady and the injectors tested fine. I've been out here all afternoon double triple and quadruple checking everything but I must be overlooking something. If anyone has any ideas throw them at me! I MUST be overlooking something! I've had this truck sitting dead on the garage for almost 2 months now and I'm ready to get it back on the road! Again, any help would be appreciated! It's got a 92 2.4 in it.

Distributer is out 180 degree.

Tried turning the distributor 180, didn't help, fuel pressure is correct, no vacuum leaks... this was a brand new distributor, all of my other sensors look good, my only question is how do the crank/tdc sensors in it work exactly? What procedure do you use for setting in a new distributor on these motors? Just trying to cover all my bases. Thanks for the input so far guys!

The Crank angle sensor is built into the base of the distributor.

Get yourself lined up on the crank, cam and balance shafts.

Then download the manual for the engine from my site
here...

Then go to page 11C-24 for the distributor housing and shaft mating marks.
Review section 11C-28 for the timing belt procedure, to make sure you didn't miss something.
Slide the distributor in the hole, double check the rotor is pointing to #1 on the Cap.
