I am trying to find out what the actual load limit is for a 1988 Ram 50 extended cab.
It doesn't seem to come up in any of the spec info I have been able to find searching the web.
Anyone know this off hand?
Thanks

the towing capacity is 3500lbs
Thanks for that info, but the load capacity in the box is what I need to know.
I need to deliver a 2003 Harley that weighs about 780 lbs. from Chicago to N. Georgia.
I've had my Harley in the back of mine.
800 pounds isn't that much weight.
I've also had mine loaded to the gills with dirt.....
That's what I thought, but wanted some confirmation.
Thanks
I have definitely put more than 800 lbs in the back of my truck. The important thing is just to not push it too hard. I drove 800 miles with most of my life in the back of Wallace and just took it easy on the mountain passes. My bet is that given the route you're going, it should be relatively flat.
1435 - 1600lbs capacity
