Found a 94 macrocab for sale in south florida from arekoner on the forum, I plan on swapping the turbo setup from the red truck to the new truck. and do a 4g63t in the red truck and go drag racing.

That's a bummer that your truck got bent up Rahtid but your new acquisition looks pretty good. The extra cab space will make it a more practical ride.
-
Longer wheelbase for longer drifts.
Can't wait to see you tear into this.

Always a foot or shoe in these kind of photos, :lmao:

Sorry about your red truck. Glad to see its not going to the scrap yard. Lil fender bender is a good excuse to go back and build it even nicer
-

whats new with your truck

What did you repurpose these from?
-
belltech still makes shocks for these trucks - I bought a whole set for the 86 project truck for like $ 50 for all 4 nitro active as a closeout. S10 shocks are the same length, but are valved different than the ones for our trucks.
-
The shocks were from a 84-87 toyota truck, they were 9.99 here is the link http://www.thesuspensionsource.com/b...-2-drop-10007/

Compared to our stock shocks and after 25+ years of low riding the heck out of them and preparing the truck for hauling loads like you do, lol. your probably going to luv the handling. ;)
I returned my belltech shock because of the cutting thing. Just couldn't see chopping them up like that. Belltech should of did this. They were too soft for me also. Just my preference I guess.
Sorry your truck got hurt!!!
-
These shocks feels stiffer than the last set i installed on the red truck,I had to use a bottle jack to install the shock on the lower control arm
-
Were the front old ones mighty max specific? I wonder if these are stiffer than toxic shocks. I believe they are suppose to be the best in terms of a stiff sho k
-
Toxic are stiffer, Nitro are a smoother stiff ride and kyb are even stiffer, I think pennyman uses tokico shocks. It's all preference for what your butt likes and keeps the truck from slapping stoppers. Not sure the difference that 1st gen and 2nd gen make though. Definitely need some type of drop shocks for lowered rides.
-
Shoot, for under $20 shipped for 2 I think I can give that a shot and see how they turn out LOL
-
the suspension between 1st and 2nd gen is the same, just differences in pitman and idler arms (2wd). Spindles are different, but interchange - brake calipers and mounting position to allow for vented front rotors on 2nd gen.

nice, shiny and sexy. did you put a cam in it too?
-
eeeeewwwww ahhhhhhh ooohhhhhh, sigh! that is awesome. Good ole paired port head. Now it can go up on the mantle and just admired by your visitors. Tell them Look but don't touch, lol. Don't forget to index your plugs while the head is off, doh!!!
I hope that is a dresser in your house and not a rollaway tool box.
Hey, can you post bigger photos for us please!, :lmao: JK!
-
still have the stock cam in it now,it will be replaced soon,
brad the tool box is in the garage, the dresser is a diy project the wife is working on
