well i had this little item fall into my lap yesterday for a price that i just couldn't say no to, it's the elusive 4.22 ring and pinion for the 8 inch Mighty Max rear-end. Now i've already installed my Power Brute LSD in my rear end with my factory 3.91's and will probably stick with that to start with, but well it's nice to have options lol

SOOOOO!!!!! it looks like ole, mother Mitsubishi comes thru again! i had two bench seats so i took the slider brackets off each of them and ditched the benches. then came the two bucket seats i got out of a clean 2000 Mitsubishi Galant at the yard. and after ditching the factory brackets on them and doing some bolt hold swapping here we are!! FACTORY BUCKET SEAT BRACKETS on GALANT BUCKETS!! will post in truck pics tomm!!!

the drivers side seat even has a cool high adjuster knob that raises and lowers the bottom of the seat~

Welll as it turns out i'm going to end up have to run one small weld on the drivers seat so i can get the seat height adjuster to work with out wanting to rip the bolts out from the spring tension. so i'll post so in the truck pics here soon.
i did take the time today to install some new 4 inch blocks and my BEEFY Pro-comp shocks. with these and the new swaybar set up the rear should be nice and stiff now:grin:

i love this last pic that shows the contour of the bar around rear shock, perfect like butta!!

and in other new i did get the 2 style bumper bracket bent back in line with the new mount and it's starting to look like a truck again, kinda LOL

http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/...ps376dcdf3.jpg
and shortly after selling mine i turned around and bought these with lugs and center caps. 15x10 old school turbines
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/...ps03aec1ca.jpg
will post pics of them on the truck soon!!
-
-
Looks good, post up pictures of the turbine wheel on the truck
-
oh believe me i will!! gonna wrap them in some 225/60-15's all the way around. i will admit it wasn't a totally original idea on my part. i came across this photo of them on a Datsun and just fell in love:)) i'll run fender flares, i don't care lol

I wanted a set of those back in the day for Geronimo - just never got them...
-
I got a smoking deal on them and just had to jump. Bought them off a mud truck owner on Craigslist for $200. Came with free lugs and center caps. I see them on eBay for some big $$$
-
still have to do some welding on the brackets for the drivers seat but i did get the passengers galant bucket seat put in and bolted half way down lol, will have to re-drill two holes but i looks so much nicer.

i also had to change my seatbelts out to the galants as well because the buckles were different and new seats already had belt buckles built into them

more to come soon!

I love turbines and am pissed you're going have them first.
-
Lol thanks, I'll take that as a compliment. Two of them are out with a buddy getting the before mentioned 225/60-15 g-force sports mounted and when I get them back I'll be able to put the rear down and see what the wheel gap is gonna be like. Another cool thing about running these fender flares is that they hang down about a inch over the wheel well, thus gaining you another inch of lowering look. Should look mean and staggered with 225/50's on the front and 225/60's on the back to start with

-
Can I ask where you got the fender flares from?looks good .

went junk yard shopping again on my day off today for some "oh shit" handles off of some other Mitsubishi models per the advice of merrill and found these sweet old school ones out of a Montero, they fit great!

Hellooo rear disc brakes!! sooooo, i spied with my little eyes these bad boys on the same montero ls that i got the before mentioned handles from, and just had to go back and grab them. i took both the axles, backing plates, calipers, and parking brake cables.

http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3e1351df.jpg
wheel fitment was a a bit tight but nothing rubs and they mount flush to the hub, i'm sure i'm going to have to mismatch so parts to get these fully up and working but it is my next goal!

Stop taking all the good shit from the junkyard.
-
man the junk yard is like my sanctuary, i get my best deals and inspirations there
-
so you have them mounted to the truck axle in those photos?
-
the last two are, both sets of axles are the same size and both are 28 spline but sadly the montero axles are a inch to long per axle and can't be used, they just push each other out of the might max LSD and axle housing. but the backing plate 4 bolts go right into the axle housing no problem. so right after Christmas i'm going to take both sets to a buddy and have him press my MM axles out of the drum backing plates and into the disk backing plates with some new bearings while we're in there. then i just have to get some new rotors and those nifty endlinks merrill came up with for the F-150 rear sway bar and my rear end is DONE.......for now:rolleyes:

A machine shop should be able to shorten and respline them for not much money - they look heavier than the truck ones...
-
actually they are the exact same size, the neck down for the MM axles is just farther back. and if i make enough power out of my 2.4 to brake one of these i got bigger problems LOL. my buddy has a press and can swap them for free lol, can't beat that price. plus after it's done i get to take the montero axles with the MM backing plates back to the yard and get full credit $$$ to spend in the yard. so more free parts LOL
