Stock undercoating 1990 D50
Does anyone have any info on the undercoating Mitsu used on these trucks? I am impressed with how well the bottom of the cab on mine is, the undercoating on it is resembles a layer of silicone/rubber. 1-2mm thick in some areas and sticks very well.
I have been doing some welding in my cab to lower the seats as much as possible, burning off some areas of undercoating under it that I have cleaned up and need to recover now. Most, if not all of the rattle can coatings I have ever used usually dry up and flake off in a few years. The good news is I think I now have the seats about 2" lower than they were last year. Hopefully leaves enough room for a helmet now.
