Rebuilding soon need advice on parts

New to dsm platform. My head gasket is gone 91 mmm 2.4 4g64. I want to start buying parts but I’m unsure of compatibility. Is my engine 6 or 7 bolt? Looking at master rebuild kits and a lot of forklift rebuild kits idk if they are the same quality of parts and a dohc swap. I would like to make some performance enhancements.I need certain pistons for the dohc swap right? Balance shaft removal is necessary optional or a bad idea. Intake and exhaust would need to be change as well? What about my ecu? Thanks in advance.
