Front Brake Caliper Hard Line that is attached to the Caliper, Can that be replaced?

Hi All,

I am replacing the MM-D50 4x4 Front Calipers and of course there is always one side that just wont cooperate.
There is this curved hard line that is attached to the caliper via 2 bolts.

The threaded section that carries the hydraulic fluid into the caliper is not coming of and is starting to round so before I totally destroyed it I stopped and decided to see if it is replaceable.

Please see someones picture I edited. The Arrows point to the threaded line screw and the actual hard line. I want to find a replacement for that line.

When I search for brake lines I only seem to be able to fine the actual rubber line above the hard line but I can't find a part number of part for the cured hard line.

If that line is not replaceable any one have any suggestions of how I might get it out of the caliper. It looks like the previous owner really rounded that guy so their is not much let to grip. Sadly.

Any thoughts?

There are others, too. Try vice grips to remove the original, but you may have to destroy the end in the process.

Worse case scenario is to get a brake shop to make a replacement. The flare nuts on the brake lines can be a biatch. If you 'think' it's gonna round off, I'd grab it as firmly as you can with a pair of vise grip pliers without crushing it and back it off half a turn, then use a flare nut wrench (10/11mm) to undo it. You really need a flare nut wrench on brake lines to minimise the risk of damaging it. A blast of WD beforehand doesn't hurt either.

Soular - the link I included earlier is for the P/N with a "T' suffix. Not sure what the "T' is for but it may not be the part you need. The one without the "T" matches other sites' in price and is likely the correct one:

If there is a junk yard nearby you can also use any mighty max 4x4 line or 1st to 2nd gen Montero hard line.

Are you replacing your rubber brake lines as well?
