Tach cluster install
Have a few questions about installing this tach cluster in my 1988 mighty max.
1. Where on the back of the cluster do I need to attach wires to the coil ? There is an ignition + and a ignition - on back of the cluster side . Do I need to run a wires from both to the positive and negative from the cluster to the positive and negitive on the coil ?
Note: I have a accel coil .
2. Msd makes a coil tach attachment shown below . Should I buy this to get it to work ? I added some links to show what I think I might need to get so it will work ?

Should be plug and play with all the existing wires already provided. Only thing that doesn't read out correctly is the oil pressure unit.

Agreed. It should be a plug and play. It was for my 88 Ram 50. However, the speedo cable needs to be re-routed slightly so it passes through and to the left of a structural brace. Be very careful with the cable. Don't kink it or you'll have to replace it. Also the cable is just long enough so you might struggle a bit but it will connect to the speedo back.
Here's a doc with a pic of the desired cable position:

Found a couple cluster install guides I made for the purchasers of a couple tack clusters I had 12-15 years ago:
Attachment 25782
The one above mentions supplemental wiring and how to check if it's needed. I've lost too many brain cells since then to remember the reason for the supplemental wiring addendum, but if the connector's wiring matches that in your truck, the one below applies assumes it's a plug-and-play.

Installed today finally .ran wires from the back of the cluster tach side ign+ and ign - directly to the positive and negitive on the coil .. Works great and now I can dial in the weber better .https://ibb.co/PTwrzrc

Glad to see it’s been installed and fixed.
