about the jack/tool holddown

I bought a stock jack and lug wrench/tire tool. I've got the holddown brackets but not the nuts. were they normal metric ? Wing nuts? some special stamped steel wingnut? anyone have a couple or me? Pics?

they are metric wingnuts, not sure the size. Not sure if any of my trucks still have the tools in them...

ON my 85 the hold down for the tire iron is under the passenger seat and has a wing nut. There is space for a second thing IDK what it might be. There seems to be a spot under the driver seat for the jack (mine has given up the ghost it jacks up but doesn't hold weight) but there is no hardware in my rig to hold that little bottle jack in place.

the second thing is the bar to lower the spare tire.. I went to Fastenal today and ordered two metric wingnuts.

Could you post pics of the original stuff and how it mounts?
Was it a bottle jack rather than a scissor style

Thanks. By what I can see there is a metal strap that holds the jack in place which I am missing along with its wingnut and I don't have the black rod I assume is the jack tool.

the black rod is indeed the tool to get the spare out and also the jack interface tool. the bottle jack does have a metal strap.

Just checked, as mine are missing also. The thread in M8 1.25.

Going to knock together a few straps aswell

Just had a dig though my detritus and found that lawn mower handle bolts/Attachment 19950Attachment 19950knobs have an M8 1.25 thread.
Drilled a hole though a tow ball nut wrench I got for $1 for the strap

The lawnmower knobs are probably a nice solution if yours are missing, readily available and nice and thick to grab under the seats
