That is a stock carb. Who knows if they actually have any.
I'm perfectly fine with it being a stock. I can't get mine sorted out
I would be wary of it - the carbs are specific to the year and motor / tranny combo according to the shop manuals, but that doesn't mean it can't be used to get yours running. My bigger fear is that these carbs are so hard to work on, that you will end up with an expensive paperweight, and the truck still won't run. What is their guarantee on this carb?
McGoogle reviews on them. I've read feedback on far ends of the spectrum of customer satisfaction. Everything from highly recommended to stay the hell away...
Hey guys, time to get this project moving again. I found this carb from another thread. I am wondering if I need any special linkage and/or the adaptor plate as I have an auto trans. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

38 DGES synchronous carb. This thing is a beast. IMO waaay too big for the 4G52. BUT another member used it on their G63B (belt drive 2.0) and they were quite surprised on how it ran. Here's a link - http://www.mightyram50.net/vbulletin...weber-K610-kit
Awesome. I just need to get this more reliable to sell. My next question would be, manual or electric choke option?
Electric. Always first choice. Nobody wants to mess with choke cables and the electric choke on the Weber is a no brainer to get operational.
Anyone know if that Weber will work on an auto? Only thing I see is manual and want to make sure the linkage will mount up.

K614 is for the automatic trucks - it comes with the proper linkage and throttle rotation for the automatic.
That chart seems to be slightly confused? There is no category on their chart for my truck, even though my truck is nothing unusual. I have a 1986 Dodge Power Ram 50 Sport 4x4 with the 2.6liter motor, 5 speed manual transmission. Their chart shows TWO separate columns for the 1989 and on pickups? Don't they mean one column for PRE 1989 and one for after 1989?
Yeah it looks like they goofed. D-50's were officially discontinued as a model line up before then... and they don't have a listing for Mighty Max but do have one for Montero :shrug:Quote:

i did a carb conversion on an old nissan truck, for a buddy ~3 years ago.
ford pinto and chevy vegas earlier models had basically same carb as stock... called a holley 5200
i grabbed one off ebay (remanufactured, nos or refurbished... can't recall) ~$80
I made an adapter because of the wierd stock carb 3-bolt. End result, it worked great. Fabrication necessary tho
the Holley weber 5200 is an emissions carb, and a finicky one at that. Better off with a real weber - the adaptors are easy to install.
early ones r as simple as the webers. The Nissan truck didn't care, drove fine
as a kid, I drove a chevy vega for years. Not one single issue from that "horrible" car. Carb performed oem-flawless

that was the one I had issues with - 1982 charger 2.2 and 1987 horizon
