Will this work?
I'm new to the forum. It looks like I might need to have my engine replaced. I recently acquired a 1987 Mighty Max 4x4 with the 2.6L G54B engine and manual transmission. It blows blue smoke intermittently which makes me think I have rings going bad. It burns enough oil for me to have to add a quart after 60 miles. I started searching for rebuilt engines and came across this engine on Ebay. Can someone let me know if this will work in my truck? The owner seems unaware that there are narrow and wide blocks. From what I have learned from this site I would need the wide block because I have a manual transmission.

No that is a narrow block from a caravan - several people on here have looked at this motor and I keep telling them it won't work - besides that motor was built to Chrysler's specs, not mitsubishi's and also was built for emissions for an automobile, not a truck, so that will make it even harder to use.

It sounds like you just need valve seals. Do that first and see if it fixes the oil smoke problem.
