trans shift

1992 ram 50 4.2 automatic rwd
trans shifts 2nd 10 mph
shifts to 3rd 15mph
this seems to soon to me
is this about right or is there or
is there some kind of adjustment
got truck about 3 wks ago

the kickdown cable is out of adjustment - it should have a small bit of slack when the throttle is fully closed.

found adjustment, could tell former had adjusted it,
turned back to what looked like original setting,
works much better
