Distributor maintenance

Hello guys,

I am trying to do something to my truck for an upcoming long trip.....How to maintain the distributor? Any point to clean and lub?

I checked timing belt, it is in perfect condition....Well..actually I took the old one off and then struggled to put the same one back on because it was in good condition....call me stupid,....but I do learn a lot and gain a lot of confident...

Also water pump.....any way to test it is good and will last long driving?
