I think I have a bad injector and I have searched high and low to find a replacement source, Does anyone know where a guy could find a vendor that actually carries rebuilt or new injectors for a 4D55 turbo 2.3. Is there an injector that will work as an upgrade from another diesel engine, I have a 1985 2.3 turbo diesel transplanted into a 1985 Mitsubishi Montero from a Dodge power ram 50.
The dealer has new injectors. Also any competent diesel shop can rebuild or has a source that rebuilds injectors. Injectors are pretty easy to come by.

I bought one from a UK vendor off Ebay. Works fine.

Again dealer OBSOLETE. I bought in the past the ones for the 4d55 ranger from rock auto. They had them for 85-86 and late 86 to early 87. Emmsions difference. I bought the cheapest ones. Beware rock auto catalog often sticks in gas engine parts with the diesel so make sure the picture looks like yours.Quote:
