1993 mighty max with 4g64. Has anyone done a serpentine belt conversion? What did you do?

I want a high output alternator for a stereo system and would like to upgrade to a 6 rib serpentine belt from the v belt. It is not recommended to have an alternator with more than 170a output with a v belt, without belt slipping.

you may be able to raid pulleys from the later 4g64. Dunno about alignment. Sounds like a custom job
Where you gonna put all that stereo.... in that 'tiny' little cab ?

I have a macro cab. Enough space for four 8” speakers in the back. I’ll be at about 5,0000 watts for the whole system.

I would like to see a picture of the alternator. Because I find it hard to believe it's over 100 amp. Once you start getting over 100 amp they get really big real fast. Think semi truck size. And they are 130 Amp. ones from a city bus will put out 200 Amp or more. But they are water cooled and have a 3/4" nut on the lug.

Please don't fall for the hype from a shop or internet. If it can't be put on a load bench and prove it puts out that much. It's a lye. Here is what a 160 amp unit looks like. @ full load it will pull almost 15 HP
