Does anyone happen to know what differences there were between the 1-ton MM and all the other ones?

I added a leaf to each rear spring on my 87 4WD and that was plenty I could heap it with firewood drop it in low and get around no problem it did stiffen the ride empty. I did need to have a new set of U bolts made up at the local truck repair shop. My thought is the 1 ton option was for delivery trucks never heard of a DD 1 ton truck ever.

To my knowledge the only difference was in the rear leaf springs. I think the 1-ton option was only available on 2WD trucks, but I don't know of any other differences.
