I ordered the chassistech spindles off of ebay. When we installed them we noticed that the holes for the tie rods were going into the top instead of the bottom like stock. I got new tie rods off of rock auto and I can't seem to get them short enough to remove the toe in. I emailed chassistech through ebay about it and got nothing. Does anybody have any ideas?

Did you shorten the inner tie rod on the sleeve also? You can always cut down the shaft of the tie rod. But I’m wondering if the spindle is for a different model.

Everything bolted together correctly, just the big side of the tie rod hole was on top instead of on bottom.

yes. That is definitely a problem. That makes the rods longer. That in turn makes the toe go positive. AKA. Toe in big time. It can also affect the bump steer or possibly over angle the end when going over large bumps.
it will probably affect the turning toe. You can cut the threaded ends down to get the alignment back. You can cut off 1/2 inch and it will probably get you there. Just keep the nut on if you cut it. That way you can remove it and it will fix the threads.

I ordered the 4wd inner tie rods being an inch and change shorter. I'll try them this weekend. Thanks
