Wiper pivots

Just wondering if wiper pivot (where the arm connects to) wear is a common issue with the 2nd gen’s. My right side is fine but the left is really loose. Mostly seeing if it is worth sourcing a used setup or if it’s better to figure a way to repair whet I have.

A good used pivot may be hard to find since most have probably never been lubricated since new. New wiper link assemblies are available, P/N MB415264. Includes both pivots and linkage between them. Here's one listing:
