Hey guys! Glad to see the forum is still alive and active! Been a while but with gas prices through the roof again and some other factors ive decided to jump back in to getting the old ram50 back on the road again.
A few years back when I was driving it pretty regular one weekend i had a little extra money and decided to give the ole girl some much needed regular maintenance so i went out and got all the basics, oil, filter, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, etc.. spent the weekend cleaning leaves out of various cavities, retaped some loose wire looms, replaced most of the little rubber hoses on the engine, washed and vacuumed,d of course changing the oil and stuff. After putting in the time and the money, and beaming with pride, my reward was a "crank but no start" situation that took roughly 18 months of piddling for an hour at a time, maybe a few hours a week to resolve 沈
Ended up being a bad fusible link that I had checked at least a dozen times 臘 but by that time I had created several NEW problems troubleshooting and let it set so long that i had rust in the tank and fuel pump issues. So here we are now, ive dropped and cleaned the tank replaced the pump and got everything back together (im pretty sure ) and now I've got a NEW one!
It starts right up, runs beautifully, for 5-10 seconds, then just stumbles and falls on it's face. Usually it will sit there and stumble indefinitely like it's dieseling until I turn it off but sometimes like in the video im going to link, it just dies. fuel pressure is perfect and steady..

Any ideas?
Thanks!
Greg
