94 Mighty Max Power steering leak

Hello and "Happy New Years" to all,

Could someone out there confirm that the nut needs to be tighter to eliminate that (inch) gap? Or is something else missing? Just not looking right.

no thats normal, the arm and shaft are splined, so the arm will only go as far up as the spline is cut in the shaft


The seal looks pretty passed its best, you can replace just that one in place. But its not a major to pull the box and replace them all (theres an internal one as well)
