I am planning to add power steering to my 1991 Mighty Max base/2.4, but can't find a gearbox. I have read through the threads, and looked at a bunch of places online. A lot of the gearboxes I see listed as 'Power Steering' are actually manual gearboxes. Others that are supposed to fit are apparently meant to bolt inside the frame, not outside like mine does.
So can anyone give me a part number, supplier or specific vehicle model that has a gearbox that WILL fit?
Thanks!

I have a rebuilt 2WD power steering gear box for a 1986 Ram 50 ~ I don't need it my truck is 4WD ~ check if a 1986 box fits your 1991 truck ~ my gearbox bolts onto the outside of frame

it does, my 81 has a 2nd gen power steering box in it

from memory you also want the lower part of the steering shaft, but id have to check, i seem to think it was shorter in power steering trucks. the column and wheel in mine are 1st gen

Yes, the Pitman arm has to be changed. It is different from the manual one.

I think it fits. Do you have a pic of it? Also, how much does it cost to ship something like that from Hawaii?
