I have been having some strange heating issues interior wise.
It started roughly 2 weeks ago heat no longer blows out the dash vents it only blows out the floor vent and defrost also identified that the resistor for the blower motor is damaged as i only how low and medium fan settings and no longer have high (Part is discontinued can't find one anywhere)
Now i have gone threw my manual and i figured id reach out here before i started to take the dash apart.
So anyone have any idea's what broke or what i can do to gain heat back to my dash vents?

I found a blower resistor module but... https://www.ebay.com/itm/123644364033?epid=75206197&hash=item1cc9c74501:g:FkIAAOSw7a9clRHt
I matched it by comparing the connectors I have on my spare heater assembly. I would have a guess and say one with the same base plate could be installed by changing the connector on it to a standard 4 pin spade terminal. This looks like it's about the right size -
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/224560118869?chn=ps&_ul=AU&mkevt=1&mkcid=28 Big difference in price too. There isn't a pin in/out diagram so you'd have to figure out which terminal is running what resistance value (a multimeter will tell you)

A cable might have come off on the controls or on the flapper at the heater box. Leaves can clog things up through the vent.

Well due to the crap weather i have not been able to get outside to check the cables but i will check for leaves and debris tomorrow if the rain holds off but i did notice some random blue ducttape on one of the vent pipes so this might be one source of my issues but i still have defrost and floor vent.

Prices don't bother me to much when it is a OEM part and it is already hard to find but big big thanks for locating it.

Well figured while my truck is down I'd tackle some of my electrical issues I replaced the blower resistor and huzzahhh we had all 3 fan speeds well I've not needed or used the fan for a minute while I was working on it last night I figured I would use a fog machine to try and see if I had any leaks in any ducting well back to knocking my head on a wall the resistor went out again only have lo/med settings no hi so started looking for another resistor and nowhere like they are officially obsolete so here I am trying to see if anyone has retro fitting a aftermarket one or has anyone tried repairing one when I mean mine is done its smoked I should of measured the ohms when it wasn't dead.

Also figured I'd would also see if I can find a blower motor and go ahead and replace it as well and of course no one has one lol this is not good the joys of owning a truck where no one males parts is a struggle

Found a bunch of blower resistors listed on eBay -- use these search terms there:
resistor (ram50,"ram 50","mighty max") (heater,blower,fan,hvac)
