I have a 88 2.6 4 w. Where the fuel leaks out of carb. and drains back to tank after it sets for a few days. You have to grind it for a couple of minutes or have to prime the carb. to get it to start. Runs ok when started. Now it won't start at all and appears the pump is not pumping any gas. My question is should I replace with a stock fuel pump or change it over to a external electric pump? My other question is if I go with a electric pump, what do I do with extra fuel pump outlet on the old pump? Are they any diagrams showing this and which way would you go?

There is a way around the fuel delivery split from factory that solves the issue. On older Mitsubishis, there was a cannister in the engine bay that would split fuel from a single outlet pump to the primary fuel line and the accelerator pump. The trick is finding one. There are new fuel filters that have a return barb on them. Simply connect the return barb from the filter to the accelerator pump on the carb and leave the return out of the pump on the existing return line. Look up 'G-3583' fuel filters. I think this will be a no-brainer way to split fuel delivery from an electric pump
