Need help PLEASE- Tailgate handle issue

I purchased a new handle, it only contains 1 rod retainer on the right side. The left side is missing the retainer that secures the latch rod to the handle. I can not find a listing or a source to obtain this missing white retainer.

Does the system set up only require the right side rod retainer?

You might be surprised the sorts of auto hardware you find at a decent auto parts store...look for the hanging parts made by Dorman...if I spelled that right

You are talking about a clip that stops the rod from rattling out?

They are luckily pretty generic, I think of you check eBay for tailgate rod clip or for a central locking anti rattle clip you will find one suitable
