I've got a 91 4g64 (6 bolt) but can't find a stock flywheel anywhere and I'm not buying the $350 findiza one anyone have a part number for one?

Thanks a million, I used to see these trucks everywhere a few years ago now I'm the only one in my area. Not a one to be found in a junkyard either.

I'll wager the original G63B SOHC flywheel will be the heaviest anyway. AFAIK there isn't a weight chart for them - interesting info to chase for a thread...

Later starion 2.6 flywheel is a 35+ pound slug

2.6 would have a bigger flywheel than the 2.0 due to the wide/narrow block thing anyway. I want to fork out for a lightened stage 2 flywheel for Hung Dog wagon now I've upgraded the brakes (went from non-functioning rear drum to disc lol)

Just take the one you have to a machine shop and have them turn it down by 5 pounds.
By using a lighter one it will rev faster but it's harder on the clutch springs.

used to do most our starion flywheel lightening back in the day ~$120. Shaved a whopping 21-22 pounds ! No failures

that is shed a whopping 13-14 pounds. I got the later one with the bigger 240mm clutch

We're going off topic now but the kit I'm thinking about has a carbon/kevlar composite 6 spring clutch plate + HD pressure plate and a prolite 9.82 lbs flywheel. The kit itself is only $150ish USD (add an extra $100 to ship it to me...grrr) I couldn't get a flywheel machined down and have a full clutch kit thrown in at that price locally. *this is for a Hyundai G4GC type 2.0 twin cam so it's not relevant to the site but here's an ebay link anyway (https://www.ebay.com/itm/STAGE-2-PERFORMANCE-CLUTCH-KIT-PROLITE-FLYWHEEL-for-2004-2009-KIA-SPECTRA-5-2-0L/133326043130?_trkparms=aid%3D555021%26algo%3DPL.SI MRVI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20190711100440%26meid%3Dabfa 9ea6ea904f9fbb0a98b81425f1c7%26pid%3D100752%26rk%3 D3%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dpf%26sd%3D133003721551%26i tm%3D133326043130%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D20476 75%26algv%3DSimplRVIAMLv5WebWithPLRVIOnTopCombiner&_trksid=p2047675.c100752.m1982)

The Starion 2.6 flywheel 35lbs..??:wtf:

I also drive a '95 Ford Probe GT with a Mazda 2.5 V6 that comes with a 17lb flywheel.
And I swapped that out for a 13lb flywheel from a Mazda MX-3 2.0 V6.;)

yeah.... the racetep link posted even mentions it. Might be closer to 36# iirc

Mitsubishi Starion 2.6 Turbo...35 lbs. stock / 21 lbs. lightenend

ebay kits are a helluva bargain. Even many of the inexpensive starion XTD clutch sets hold up on 300-350 ft-lb moded street 2.6
Oddly, never seen a 2.6 lighter performance flywheel offered with the 2.6 clutch sets. I'd think it would be a welcomed/popular addition
