i managed to find these drop spindles
https://www.amazon.com/SPI-MI87XX-1987-2006-Mitsubishi-Lowering-Spindles/dp/B005J8UZ1W/ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_1?crid=2C84DUG619CSU&keywords=mighty+max+drop+spindles&qid=1552257182&s=gateway&sprefix=might+max+drop+%2Caps%2C159&sr=8-1-fkmrnull

but it says its for an 87-2006 how different if this from the 84 spindles.
and if they are the same would the hubs, brakes, ect also fit the newer spindle?
also is there any clearance issues or mods needed to run these?
and does it mess with the alignment. like adding camber?

just so you know my truck is running 16x8 +0 offset wheels

I have been told that the spindles from the 1st gen are interchangeable with the 2nd gen. I hope so because those and the same ones I am going to order for my 1979.

The factory steering hub/spindles are interchangeable between Gen 1 and Gen 2, so these will work (in theory). BUT, while you are doing this swap you will need to get your hands on Gen 2 brake rotors and calipers. The rotor offsets and brake caliper orientation are different between Gen 1 and 2's. So this means you are getting a 2" front drop PLUS a brake upgrade (which the Gen 1's were in dire need of anyway)

so does this change how the wheels sit on the front of the trucks? I hate how the front wheels stick out in the front more than the rears.

This shouldn't radically alter offset. The Gen 1 rotor is solid as you know while the Gen 2 is vented. I am not 100% sure how much difference there will be (if any) but I can't imagine it altering by more than .25" I have a feeling you'll need a bigger diameter wheel to accommodate the spindle drop as well. Guys here have done drop spindles so there will be info on threads. Just to let you know, if you choose to instead go for lowered springs a 2.5" drop will correct the front wheel camber to 1.5 degrees which in turn will improve handling.

Nice but I have seen somewhere what you may need to cut into the lower control arm for the wheels to clear. Is this true

I had a look at the few threads we have on drop spindles and I haven't been able to confirm the UCA's need modding to make it work. Are you upsizing your rims?

No I plan to stick with my 16x8 wheels they are just the right size for the truck

you should not need to cut ucas with the 16 x 8 wheels unless you have a deep positive offset. The hubs for 1st and second gen are the same for wheel mounting, the difference is the back of the hub spacing for the rotors.

Different offsets. You need either all 1st gen brakes or all 2nd gen. Use 2nd gen

And for what it's worth I have a buddy running the 2nd gen drop spindles on his 1st gen. No problems
