Hey everybody, I'm new around here. I picked up a '84 Mighty Max diesel a couple of years ago. Long story short it broke a balance shaft belt and took the head with it which gave me an opportunity to upgrade.
Not being a diesel or forced induction guy I'm here to listen and learn and will be spending most of my time over in those areas.

Welcome, I'm a naturally aspirated guy. I just like a plain old carburetored engine.

Thank you for the welcome wishes, glad to be here.
Charger we'll have to meet up some time after I get it going, made some good progress yesterday. I don't do much in the way of social activities but maybe the Sunday cars'n'coffee thing that I've heard rumors of.
xbox, this is all for you:
This is just after I brought it home

This is pretty much how it sits, this picture I took the the interior out to clean it and check for rust. Found the drain plugs starting to cause cancer so I pulled them out cleaned and painted the rust area and sillyconed the plugs back in so they wont leak from the outside in. It still needs lots of love but is a blast to drive

travhous I hear ya, simple, less things to go wrong and no oil consumption. I've always been more impressed by power made with a naturally aspirated engine but diesels are dogs without them (this ones a dog anyway but still:lmao:)
Hey does anyone know if we can delete attachments that we've uploaded? I read the how-to's but I dont have the "x" pop up when I hover over pictures in the attachment manager home window. I uploaded a picture the other day that needed to be edited and replaced

Sweet! That's a pretty clean looking truck to boot! How far did you make it? It looks soggy, is there enough snow for snowshoeing up top?

Thanks. Made it about half way up before it was all snow. I went by myself, so I didn't want to push it and get stuck. Yea, im sure you can snow shoe.

I hear ya Chargerx3, Hawaii houses are too expensive; my meager income & old age qualified me for low income HUD subsidized housing... Subsidized housing here is affordable and some allow application without being a Hawaii resident... Most require your age to be 62 or younger if disabled; so apply at least one year before you want the housing... Usually there is a 1 or 2 year wait list; first come first served (income limits to qualify...)
Glad you liked Kailua :)

Nice work. Yea, i looked up the old guys home across the street. He bought it in 1989 (home was built in the 60's). He paid $24k back then. /Mindblown.
