I've had my 1985 D-50 for a few years now but finally getting around to fixing it up wanting to do a 318 swap but don't really want to keep it 4x4 would rather have 2wd.21134

Hi and welcome to mightyram. You may want to look at using another truck frame from a 2WD as there are pitfalls in converting it to rear wheel only. The front end suspension and steering is completely different between 2 and 4 wheel drive and dropping the V8 into the 2WD is a piece o' cake.
