I had to install an inline fuel pump and fuel cell under the bed of my 1991 Ram 50 2.4 l...
I hooked the Spectra inline fuel pump to the factory wiring..
I show 1 volt with the key on and 12 volts during crank. This just doesn't sound right.
Was the factory in tank fuel pump a 12 volt pump?
any suggestions?

sounds like a fuel relay or ignition switch issue. The start position is powered off the starter solenoid circuit, which bypasses the run circuit. Did you recently replace the starter? If you did, the old one has 3 wires, and the new one has 2 - there is your issue - see the thread on the s and r terminal starter thread.

Before I removed the stock tank everything worked great..
Maybe i should just run a relay and a new line so the pump is always running with the key on.
I have a ton of pictures from this fix

sadly that is all to familiar to me here in the 'burgh - many trucks here end up as scrap that way.

It is so hard to get parts here for this truck.
Turns out the pump I bought brand new didn't work. I'm returning it tomor

The replacement pump should be here in Tuesday.
I'm hoping to get this buttoned up this week.. I haven't driven this truck in a year and a half.
Since the rotors are now rusty.. should I give them a light sand to clean the surface rust or replace? There WERE in great shape before I parked the truck

As long as you don't have any issues with caliper operation, I wouldn't mess with the brake rotors (maybe bleed the brakes if anything). A day or 2 of driving with break the surface rust off them.

The night thing in the list will be a new master cylinder.
Has anyone relocated the proporsioning valve in the back under the bed back under the hood...
Now with the tank gone I can put dual mufflers under the bed if I go with the V6 swap in a few years and that will be in the way.
