Going to be changing my gas filler neck in the next week or so . My old one IS rotted out . Is there an easier way without having to drop the tank to get to it ??
thanlks

If it's anything like the Gen 1 - no. It will make your like easier with getting to the clamps anyway. And you can give the tank a big clean and inspection while it's out.

either that or pull the bed - neither is a simple choice. Is it the metal neck or the rubber hose?

Shouldn't have to drop the tank. I just replaced the hose going from the tank to the filler neck. The clamp on the top of the tank was a bit difficult but not impossible to get loose. As for the filler neck itself there should be a panel on the inside of the bed you can pull out to help make removing the filler neck easier.

Replaced this weekend was a breeze . Dropped the tank (4 bolts) and removed tire and panel which made it very simple. Thanks Again everyone for the fast replies.
