87 Ram 50 2.6 is Pa inspected and on the road

Hello All I just want to thank several of you and the site for all the help I got. I brought this truck back to life.
It is 2.6 Automatic and even with the rebuilt motor Weber install electric pump it seems very gutless.
On bigger hills it bogs down to 30mph and I would not attempt to pull out in front of anyone.
I knew this truck wouldn’t be a power house and since it is lifted with bigger tires I’m sure that doesn’t help.
Just looking for any suggestions or maybe something I overlooked or maybe this is how the 50 has always ran.
On level roads 45-55 is the top and all appears to run fine.

Sounds like the timing is either out or the advance is stuck

Possibly with the Webber swap the vacuum line to the distributor is not right

Eliminate carb issues - jetting, air/fuel mixture, auto choke, auto trans kickdown, fuel flow and/or pressure. If the carb is right then it comes down to either a vacuum leak/issue, a non functioning vac advance on the distributor (either faulty or not connected correctly or at all), tired ignition coil or ignition settings/adjustment (plug heat range, gap, timing advance), The Weber is more sensitive to ignition timing adjustments and is a vacuum beast.

That truck should run way better than that. What fuel pump did you use and where is it mounted?

Fuel Pump is mounted to the frame just in front of the gas tank. It is a Carter I think 4070 the rotary one.

something isn't right then - what fuel pressure are you getting at the carb?

Another thing to check is the float bowl. If the needle is not set right you can get issues like this
